We hold five fairs a year — three in the greater Pittsburgh area and two in Medina, Ohio. Fairs run 10am to 4pm. Check our fair dates page for dates and venue addresses!
$5 per person, cash only at the door. Kids 12 and under are free!
Yes, you're welcome to bring your bird! Birds must stay in a crate or carrier, or on a leash, at all times. Please understand that you are responsible for your bird's safety — OHPA is not responsible for any injury, illness, or loss. Bringing your bird along is a great option if you'd like to use our on-site grooming services!
All vendors take cash, but not all can take cards. Some accept cards and other digital payments — but it's best to come prepared with cash. The Medina venue has an ATM on site; Castle Shannon does not.
Yes! There is on-site parking and it's free.
We can't guarantee food vendors at every event, but we're actively working on lining up steady food and snack vendors for our fairs.
Yes! Our fairs are fully accessible for wheelchairs and strollers — there are no steps, and we keep the aisles wide to accommodate everyone.
Our vendors bring a wide variety of hand-raised parrots, finches, canaries, and more, plus rescues with birds looking for new homes — but exactly what's available changes from fair to fair. The best way to find your feathered friend is to come see for yourself!
In most cases, yes! For the health and safety of the birds, every bird sold at our fairs must be fully weaned — and most birds for sale are ready to go home with you that day. Some vendors do bring unweaned babies, but those are available for deposits only and can't go home yet. For a deposit bird, you and the vendor will work out the deposit, price, and pickup arrangements for once the bird is weaned.
